Gustavo is awesome! He was patient and agile. Whenever a move became too difficult to remember, Gustavo was ready to break it down to its components and review step by step. Gustavo worked very successfully with the Grade Seven students at Canyon Heights Elementary School, offering a series of Latin movement classes that the students adored. He skilfully developed a rapport with them that permitted the students to reach far beyond their comfort zone. Following a series of classes the students performed routines that had them beaming with pride and excitement in front of the entire school. It was a major highlight of their year and a very positive experience for all involved.

The children and youth from my program really enjoyed the dancing (as did the workers!). For those who were brave enough they joined in and had a great time but even those who watched enjoyed it because of the exuberance of Gustavo and all of the dancers. Our Community Living Celebration aims to promote and support community inclusion and celebrate the many contibutions that citizens with developmental disabilities bring to our community.
